Stephane Wrembel

Saturday, August 23, 2014 8:00PM
MASS MoCA

The virtuosic Gypsy swing guitarist Stephane Wrembel is the second coming of Django Reinhardt--a fretboard wizard who embellishes the hot jazz of the 1930s with flourishes of world music to create a sound all his own. Born in Paris and educated at Berklee College of Music, Wremble wrote the theme song to Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, has performed at the Academy Awards, and is generally one of the most astonishing musicians you'll ever hear.
